Imagine your spine lengthening, your hips opening, your
shoulders releasing, all without your doing a thing.
Thai Yogassage feels like heaven.
There is no oil, the client is dressed in comfortable clothes, it is
performed on a soft mat on the floor, and there is not “rubbing”
involved. Instead the client is passively stretched and kneaded
with the practitioner’s hands, feet, knees, elbows, forearms, and
thumbs to gently open the joints, work the connective tissue and
lengthen the muscles.
As a result, range of motion is improved, the spine feels more
aligned, and there is increased energy flow in the body. The
client leaves the treatment restored, relaxed and rejuvenated..
SESSIONS: This healing work is done fully clothed and combines
rhythmic acupressure, assisted yoga stretches, gentle twisting to
bring the body, mind and spirit back into balance and harmony.

What is Thai Yogassage?
Yogassage is a form of bodywork that
combines Western and Eastern massage techniques. It is based on the
idea that another person’s touch combined with proper stretches and
other movement techniques can bring about changes within the body.
What are the benefits of Thai Yogassage?
There are many benefits that can be achieved with Thai Yogassage, including
the following:
• Strength development—since Yogassage differs from regular
massage in the way that the client must hold themselves in a pose,
this also means that Yogassage can result in physical benefits that
cannot be achieved with any other form of massage. One of these
physical benefits is increased tone and strength in the client’s
muscles.
• Increased circulation—just as with many other forms of
massage therapy, Yogassage has the important benefit to the body of
increased circulation. This means better overall health, as well as
the body’s ability to heal more quickly and fully.
• Relaxation—ThaiYogassage, like many forms of massage therapy,
results in deep relaxation, especially when it is combined with
meditation. When the body achieves such relaxation, it can calm the
body’s nervous system and, in turn, strengthen its immune system.
• Overall well-being—Thai Yogassage is one of the many forms of body
therapy that combines the three main elements—mind, body and
spirit—during therapy. Since all three of these elements are addressed
during therapy, Thai Yogassage leads the client to better overall health
and well-being.
* What happens during a Thai Yogassage therapy session?
Basically, what happens during a Thai Yogassage therapy session is that the
client will be instructed to achieve and maintain restorative yoga
poses. While the client holds the pose, the practitioner will perform
basic massage therapy techniques. By doing this, the client is able to
release tension from within the body and achieve deeper relaxation.
There are many benefits that can be achieved by Yogassage therapy. You
can start enjoying these benefits, and a healthier life, today by
scheduling an appointment with a Yogassage therapist near you.
Preparing for your Thai YogassageTherapy Session
No previous yoga or massage experience needed. Thai Yogassage is
completely customized to your specific needs.
People of all shapes, sizes, backgrounds, conditions, skills,
thoughts, places, genders, ethnicities, sexual orientations, races and
religions warmly welcomed.
Wear loose comfortable clothing, similar to what you'd wear for
exercise. Workout pants and a t-shirt are a comfortable choice.
Jewelry and glasses do need to be removed during the session. All forms
of massage are best done with your stomach neither full nor empty;
allow about 2 hours since your last meal if possible. During your
session, relax and allow me to do all the work. You should
always be comfortable, relaxed and breathing easily during a session.
Extend the Benefits of your Thai Yogassage:
Drink plenty of water. Your body will naturally cleanse
itself of the toxins we release during your session; drink more water
than usual the first day or two after your massage.
Rest deeply. Allow time in your schedule to get a full night's
sleep if possible. Much repair to all your body systems occurs
while sleeping.
Stretch. Tomorrow morning allow a few minutes to slowly
stretch and connect with your breath before starting your day.
Healing is not forcing the sun to shine, but letting go of that
which blocks the light. Stephen Levine
